GENERATOR

These machines can be compared to a small radio transmitter feeding a load rather than transmission of signals. Because of this, lethal voltages exist inside the machine. Any work carried out inside the machine should only be done by qualified persons .

The mains supply should be disconnected before work commences.

The generators must never be operated with panels, guards, and doors removed or open. After any repairs or maintenance ensure all guards and safety systems are working properly.

NOTE : Clean press & guard contacts regularly and replace when they become non-functional.

The welding platens on these machines are driven by compressed air or hydraulic pumps.

Great force is exerted by the platens so care must be taken if testing while guards are removed.
